Cruise - Quantum of the Sea

Royal Caribbean, Quantum of the Sea. My family and I were stayed on this cruise from 16 to 21 Nov 19, 6 days 5 nights.

Day 1 SINGAPORE
Day 2 KL
Day 3 Penang
Day 4 Phukit
Day 5 Cruise
Day 6 SINGAPORE

We arrived the cruise centre about 1pm. Their sister cruise, Voyagers of the Sea was also departed about  that timing, therefore, super crowded.

I passed the luggage to our cruise porter. Then, join the check-in queue, it was so long, the queue  started outside the entrance door. The whole process took us about 1 hour.

The first thing when we stepped in the cruise was looked for food. As same as other Royal Caribbean ships, the buffet at Windjammer always at 14 floors.  On the first day, lunch was always very crowded. Difficult to find the seats.  We walked round by round, finally we found a table seat and enjoyed our late lunch.

After lunch, we went to look for our room. Our room cards were found at our notification slot. Our luggage also put outside our door. The cleaner came to warm welcome us.

We stayed at cabin no. 8160, it is near the elevator. The room was
cleaned, there are enough drawers and cupboards to put  our clothing and stuffs. Overall, the room is comfortable.

Some tips to share with you as follow:

1.      Install Royal Caribbean apps (able to use free WIFI on board for this cruise app only) to make reservations for one of the famous show (one of the shows requires reservation, sorry, I can’t remember the name) and laser tags game asap. The apps also show all the programmes schedules and can make calendars.
I couldn’t reserve the show and lasers tags game on the second day. I checked with the service counter, she told me already fully reserved.

2.      On the first day, Arcade had free played for some stations only, like car and motor bike racing, shooting...etc.

3.      The sports games like basketball, badminton, soccer, roller skate, bumper cars, laser tags, "flying swing" are at level 15, the courts setup according to the activities schedules.

There are 4 table tennis tables and 5 X-box games stations are at just at the upstairs, floor 16 (No lift level access, need to use the staircase from there). All are in air-condition.

4.    The bumper cars were long queue on the first day, I was queued up far away, while waiting, I so happy to see the staff looking for 1 person because got 1 car available, the people queued up at the front all were in group, I quickly raised my hand and ran to the court happily to sit in the bumper car and selfie this photo. Ha! Ha! Ha! A lot of shouting, laughing and fun!

5.      There are certain bumper cars timing for teenagers (12 to 17 years old) only, if you have teenagers, check the schedules. My boys didn't need to queue and enjoyed for so many rounds.

6.      A lot of teenagers activities, you may visit the Living room (For teenagers only) at level 14, near the buffer.

7.      Bring the highlighters if you are interested to play Bingo game.

8.      Table dinners must go. The waitress/Waiter are very cheerful, foods are delicious and good service.

9.      Many places have complementary foods, remember to get the free cone ice-cream somewhere at the swimming pool.

10.   If you are interested to travel this cruise again, advantages to book on board is you can change the date without any charges, but you need to place the deposit, $150 per person, can be refunded if cancel. If you find out the price of onboard booking is lesser after that, you can contact them to revise the price.
